FairPlay Responsible Gaming

At FairPlay, we believe that gaming should be entertaining, exciting, and above all—responsible. While our platform offers thrilling sports betting, live casino games, and card games, we are deeply committed to promoting safe gaming practices and supporting players who may experience problem gambling.

What is Responsible Gaming?

Responsible gaming means understanding the risks of gambling, playing within your means, and recognizing when gaming might be causing harm. Gaming should be entertainment—a leisure activity you enjoy within your financial limits—never a solution to financial problems or a way to earn income.

At FairPlay, we acknowledge that while most players game responsibly, some may develop unhealthy gaming habits. Our mission is to provide tools, information, and support to help all players maintain healthy gaming patterns and seek help if needed.

FairPlay’s Responsible Gaming Commitment

Industry Leadership

FairPlay is committed to setting industry-leading standards for responsible gaming. We go beyond legal requirements to implement comprehensive player protection measures, transparent communication about gaming risks, accessible support resources, and continuous improvement based on player feedback.

Partnerships with Support Organizations

FairPlay partners with recognized problem gambling support organizations to provide resources and referrals. We maintain partnerships with counseling services, helplines, and support groups dedicated to helping individuals struggling with problem gambling.

Regular Audits and Compliance

We conduct regular audits of our responsible gaming practices to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and best practices. Our responsible gaming program is reviewed annually and updated to address emerging concerns and player needs.

Player Input and Feedback

FairPlay values player feedback about our responsible gaming measures. If you have suggestions for improvement, contact us at responsible.gaming@fairplay.com. Your insights help us create a safer platform for all players.

Tools to Help You Stay in Control

1. Deposit Limits

Deposit limits control how much money you can add to your account during a specified period. One of the most effective tools for responsible gaming is setting deposit limits. FairPlay allows you to set maximum deposit limits on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. These limits are enforced automatically—once you reach your limit, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets.

How to Set Deposit Limits:

  1. Log into your FairPlay account
  2. Go to “Account Settings” → “Responsible Gaming”
  3. Click “Set Deposit Limit”
  4. Choose your limit period (daily, weekly, or monthly)
  5. Enter your maximum deposit amount
  6. Click “Confirm Limit”

You can increase your deposit limits immediately if needed. However, decreasing limits takes effect after a 24-hour waiting period. This cooling-off period prevents impulsive decisions during moments of emotional gaming.

2. Loss Limits

A loss limit is different from a deposit limit. While deposit limits control how much you deposit, loss limits restrict how much you’re willing to lose in a specified period. If your net losses reach your loss limit, your account is automatically restricted, and you cannot place further bets.

Loss limits help you stick to a gaming budget and prevent excessive losses during unlucky periods. You can set daily, weekly, or monthly loss limits. Once reached, your account is automatically disabled until the next period begins.

3. Time Management Tools

Gaming Session Limits

FairPlay allows you to set time limits on your gaming sessions. Once your time limit is reached, your account is temporarily disabled, forcing you to take a break. This prevents extended, uninterrupted gaming that can lead to poor decision-making.

You choose your maximum session duration (in minutes), and when the limit is reached, you receive a notification and 5 minutes to save your position. Then your account is automatically disabled until your next session period begins.

Cool-Off Periods

You can request a cool-off period (24 hours to 30 days) where your account is temporarily suspended. During this period, you cannot login, place bets, or access your account. Cool-off periods give you time to step back and reassess your gaming habits without permanent account closure.

4. Self-Exclusion

  • Self-exclusion is a powerful tool for players who recognize problematic gaming patterns and need to stop temporarily or permanently. When you self-exclude, your account is closed, and you cannot access FairPlay.
  • Temporary Self-Exclusion ranges from 24 hours to 12 months. After your chosen period expires, you can contact support to reactivate your account. This option is ideal if you need a break but aren’t ready for permanent closure.
  • Permanent Self-Exclusion closes your account indefinitely. You cannot reactivate it without formal verification and assessment of your situation. This option is for players who recognize that gaming is harmful and need a permanent barrier.
  • To self-exclude: Log into your account, go to “Account Settings” → “Self-Exclusion,” choose temporary or permanent, read and confirm the terms, and submit your request. Your account closes immediately, and your remaining funds are held securely.

5. Account Closure

If you want to close your FairPlay account without self-exclusion, you can request permanent account closure. Unlike self-exclusion, permanent closure can be reversed only by contacting support and going through a verification process. Your remaining balance is withdrawn to your registered payment method within 5-7 business days.

Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling develops gradually and can affect anyone. Warning signs include:

Financial Warning Signs

Spending more money on gaming than you can afford, borrowing money to fund gaming, neglecting bills or essential expenses, selling possessions or taking loans for gaming, and experiencing financial stress due to losses are all red flags.

Behavioral Warning Signs

Thinking about gaming constantly, needing to gamble more frequently or with larger amounts to achieve excitement, failed attempts to stop, feeling restless when not gaming, and using gaming to escape problems all indicate potential problem gambling.

Social and Emotional Warning Signs

Lying to friends and family, neglecting relationships and hobbies, feeling guilty or ashamed, gaming despite relationship or work problems, and experiencing depression or anxiety related to gaming are serious warning signs.

Chasing Losses

Placing larger bets to recover losses, continuing to play despite losing money, believing you can win back losses through “one more bet,” and spending more time and money than planned all suggest problematic gaming patterns.

International Resources

GamCare provides a 24/7 National Problem Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133). The National Council on Problem Gambling provides resources and helps find treatment services. Gamblers Anonymous offers peer support meetings and 12-step recovery programs globally at no cost.

Financial Counseling

If gaming has caused financial problems, seek financial counseling for debt management, credit counseling, and budgeting assistance. Many non-profits offer free services to help rebuild financial stability.

Gaming and Mental Health

Problem gambling is often linked to mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and stress. If you’re experiencing mental health challenges alongside gaming concerns, seek professional mental health support from therapists or psychiatrists. Address underlying mental health conditions, which may reduce problem gambling. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is effective for both problem gambling and mental health issues.

Information for Friends and Family

If concerned about someone’s gaming, express concern calmly without judgment, listen without criticism, avoid enabling by not lending money, suggest professional help, and support their recovery efforts. Set boundaries to protect your own finances and wellbeing. Many support organizations offer family counseling and support groups for relatives.

Our Commitment to You

FairPlay commits to transparent communication about gaming risks, accessible tools integrated into your account, professional resources and 24/7 assistance, completely confidential handling of concerns, regular updates to responsible gaming programs, and no penalties for using responsible gaming tools.
